Position:
Deputy Manager
About Me:
Early years education has been at the heart of my career for over 10 years. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and have extensive experience in early years leadership and management. I am passionate about creating a nurturing, inspiring and inclusive nursery where every child feels safe, valued and confident to flourish.
I believe the early years provide the foundation for children’s future learning, wellbeing and sense of self. My approach is child-centred, creative and values-led, with a strong focus on building secure relationships, encouraging independence and providing meaningful opportunities for children to explore, discover and develop a love of learning. Children’s safety, wellbeing and happiness are always at the heart of my practice and leadership.
I am particularly passionate about creating calm, purposeful and engaging learning environments. I enjoy using natural and environmentally conscious resources, open-ended materials, Montessori-inspired approaches and practical, hands-on experiences to encourage curiosity, imagination, communication, problem-solving and independence.
Supporting and inspiring educators is also an important part of my work. I enjoy coaching and mentoring staff, encouraging reflective practice and helping practitioners grow in confidence, creativity and professional knowledge. I believe that when educators feel supported and valued, they are empowered to provide exceptional care and learning experiences for children.
Inclusion is at the heart of everything I do. I believe every child, family and educator should feel respected, represented, welcomed and fully included in nursery life. I am committed to celebrating individuality, recognising and removing barriers, and creating an environment where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging and has the opportunity to thrive.
I also value strong partnerships with families and the wider community. I enjoy creating meaningful family events, cultural celebrations, creative projects and community experiences that bring children, families, educators and local communities together.
Above all, I aim to lead with warmth, purpose and integrity, helping to create a nursery community where children are inspired to learn, families feel welcomed and respected, and educators feel supported to be the very best they can be.
